New prospects for Ardian

Ardian

Building Redevelopment, Frankfurt am Main, 2024

The German team of Ardian, a Paris-founded and world-leading private investment house, has moved into its new office space in Frankfurt’s Opernturm. Kinzo was commissioned to design the office space, focusing on aesthetics, functionality, and community-promoting areas.

The elaborately constructed staircase connects all three of the office floors, providing ac-cess from the Heart Space on the twelfth floor to floors eleven and thirteen where, in addition to a small kitchenette, there are further conference areas and single offices.
The centerpiece is the so-called Heart Space, a large communal area with a coffee counter, lounge area, open meeting niches, and a multifunctional space that can be adapted for events.

The world’s leading independent investment company moves into its new office space in Frankfurt’s Opernturm: a modern office design that promotes change and community.

The Frankfurt Opernturm, designed by architect Christoph Mäckler, is a masterpiece of modern architecture. A significant design challenge, however, was to ensure that the parti-tion walls could be moved, and that the built-in elements were free-standing with no con-tact to the ceiling. This is because the heating and cooling system integrated into the ceiling has to be fully accessible at all times via the folding ceiling panels.

The 170-metre tower stands on the site of the former Zurich House, next to Frankfurt’s Rothschild Park. When the tower was completed in 2009, the park was extended by 5,500 square metres and land-scaped in the style of an English garden, preserving the historical and cultural significance of the location.
