The company 50Hertz has its new headquarters in Europacity Berlin - with an interior design planned by the Berlin office Kinzo. The high-rise building between the main train station and Hamburger Bahnhof offers space for up to 650 employees on 13 floors. The innovative workplace concept, which Kinzo developed in a participatory process with the 50Hertz employees, is remarkable.

Communication and exchange were the focus right from the start; an open, lively and varied working environment was the declared planning objective.

The unusually large depth of the building created generous central zones, which Kinzo transformed into attractive retreats and communication spaces.

The work-friendly character is supported by acoustic attachments specially developed by Kinzo for the project: they absorb the resulting sound, zone the areas and can be personalized with an integrated shelf.

In addition to the work areas, Kinzo was also responsible for the design of all special areas.

Kinzo’s interior design concept picks up on the striking language of the building envelope. At the same time, they create the framework for a company that is reinventing itself with the move to the new headquarters: from classic to contemporary employer, from cellular office to open space.

With the new 50Hertz Netzquartier, Kinzo has succeeded in translating the ideas of an innovative client into a holistic, spatial appearance.
