Intergalactic Hub

BASF Hub

New Work, Berlin, 2023

New technologies play a central role for the international chemical company BASF. The premises are equipped with state-of-the-art media technology in order to network employees in the best possible way and to display presentations and image films effectively.

The versatile cafeteria also impresses with its centrally located communication island and flexible seating options that are suitable for both groups and individuals. From raised seating areas to cozy niches and counter areas – everyone will find their ideal (work) space here.
The CI colors run through the various floors as orientation elements and can be found in the carpets, hub kitchens and built-in furniture. The sophisticated lighting concept complements this color scheme and sets additional accents.

Over an area of around 24,000 square meters, the main features are communal, collaboration and communication zones, while executive offices and traditional single and double offices are a thing of the past. Transparency and flexibility are the focus here and flat hierarchies are expressed in the open spatial structures.

The new location in Storkower Straße in Berlin-Friedrichshain is intended to provide impetus and inspire the surrounding area, just as the location on Oberbaumbrücke once did. With an innovative new work concept that combines people, technology and design, BASF Services Europe GmbH and Kinzo have succeeded in creating a flagship project.
