The Deutsche Bank Technology Center in existing structures

The world of work reprogrammed

Building Redevelopment, Berlin, 2025
The development of existing structures is the strategy here. When we reimagined the Deutsche Bank Campus in Berlin, it was not about creating just another office project.

The goal was to transform existing architecture into a high-performance “New Work” environment-serving IT, innovation, and banking simultaneously: a clear reimagining aimed at creating a tech campus that boosts engagement, identification, and efficiency all at once.

Systematic General Planning

Our role as general planner: technical renovation, spatial transformation, and new usage concepts—all while the facility remains in operation.

Building services, spatial layout, and operational logic were carefully integrated to maximize the efficient use of space while ensuring the ability to adapt flexibly to future needs.

Destination Area als Social Hub

The challenge went beyond the floor plan and interior design: traditional office structures were confronted with a new reality.

Hybrid work, international teams, and the expectation of genuine collaboration beyond “Zoom work.”

What needed to be added was the social dimension of work—a place that fosters interaction, allows for concentration, and fosters a sense of belonging. What needed to be added was the social dimension of work—a place that fosters interaction, allows for concentration, and fosters a sense of belonging.
Our solution: open workspaces, deliberately left open-ended, featuring “destination areas,” satellite zones, and breakout areas—centrally located spaces designed for collaboration, hackathons, and spontaneous interaction. A system that encourages movement—rather than dictating it.
