Kinzo was commissioned to design the publicly accessible areas – designed were event and teaching areas, exhibition areas, a library, open workshops, as well as the office space for the administration.
The “Haus des Wissens” will be a place for all residents of the city. At the heart of the project are the resident public library, Bochum’s adult education center and the city’s university network Univercity, which, as a special “third place,” will offer joint services for Bochum’s citizens.
